Today's bite estimate for 10 Gulf and Atlantic ports and 9 Great Lakes spots on one map. Round markers are ocean ports (best of blue marlin, mahi-mahi or redfish); square markers are Great Lakes spots (best of their local species, a rougher estimate). Data: live NOAA buoys and shore stations, NOAA tides and lake levels, and the National Weather Service forecast.

Each marker shows the ocean port or Great Lakes spot's best bite estimate (0–10 for ocean ports (marlin, mahi, redfish), 0–9 for Great Lakes spots (a rougher estimate for walleye, perch, salmon, trout or bass)); tap or click it for every species, wind, waves, water temperature and next tide or water level. Reading the map

Each port gets a daily 0–10 bite estimate for blue marlin and mahi-mahi offshore and redfish inshore. It is built from the latest NOAA buoy readings, NOAA tide predictions and the National Weather Service forecast for the next daylight period. It is an estimate of how good conditions look, not a prediction of catches.

8–10 Good · 6–7 Fair · 4–5 Slow · 0–3 Poor. Great Lakes scores top out at 9. Gray means no live data for that spot right now. How the ocean score works → · How the Great Lakes score works → · All scores in tables →
